LABELSHOW-2003, 9^th international specialized exhibition of materials, machinery, equipment and technologies for labels’ printing and packages’ marking, takes place in Sokolniki Culture & Exhibition Centre, March 17 – 21, 2003. In 1998 the exhibition was awarded the symbol of the International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (IUEF), in 2000 it was granted the symbol of Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) and joined the number of the world’s pre-eminent trade shows.

LABELSHOW is an annual spring trade show, which plays a key role in the organization and development of labelling industry in this country, shaping the market of high-quality printing production.

LABELSHOW-2003 demonstrates developments in the field of printing and publishing. It will present a great variety of machinery, equipment, technologies and consumables meeting the international level of label printing. Leading firms will showcase the process of labels’ printing, using advanced technologies and equipment. Visitors will have an opportunity to see a broad range of mechanized finishing processes for label production and means of attaching special properties to labels.

The exhibit space of the event makes 20 000 sq.m. More than 400 companies from 30 countries will display their products and services.

LABELSHOW is a trade show of new generation. It shows recent developments of the new century in this industry. Russian and foreign exhibitors and international organizations highly appreciate commercial effectiveness of the trade show. Such organizations will take part in the opening and work of the exhibition as the Association of Suppliers of Printing and Publishing Technologies NPEC (USA), Association of Printers and Publishers of Latvia and Lithuania, the World Self-Adhesive Labels Manufacturers’ Association (FINAT), and other prominent international organizations.

Participants of the exhibition call LABELSHOW “a university of knowledge”. The most important events this year are the industry-wide conference “State and Development of Offset Printing in the Label Industry. Offset or Flexo?”. On March 18, 2003 the 3d international conference “Development of the World Label Market in the 21^st Century” will take place. “Label – Russian Style”, 9^th All-Russian competition for the best label will be held traditionally during the trade show.

The opening ceremony will take place on March 17, at 11 a.m. in Hall 17 of Sokolniki Culture & Exhibition Centre
